Community Is Not a Buzzword
“It sounds like there have been two major life changes that have contributed to your passion for community building.”
It hit me during a recent client pitch. As I shared my journey of starting over at ages 10 and 23, when the client paused and made that observation. 😳
Those moments of transition were massive for me.
At 10, I left my childhood community behind, starting fresh in a new country. Then, at 23, I said goodbye to that community I had built to start again across the country, except this time leaving my family behind.
These experiences taught me the power of community. They showed me that connections sustain us through life’s twists and turns and the reason why I’m so passionate about bringing people together.
Now combine that with my professional experience: I’ve been a brand ambassador, sales rep, customer success manager, head of community and affiliate manager, founder, content creator, influencer manager, and social media manager. The foundation of my experience is composed of a decade of working in sales and customer success, and recently, by building highly engaged communities.
Community is not a buzzword to me! It is what has made me who I am today.
This is what makes me unique in the community space — I understand firsthand how to build communities personally and professionally because I’ve done it.
And now I’m taking all of that and pouring it into @growwithcommunity to help others build, launch, and grow communities.
Annnnd I’m so glad you’re here.
